The
Anastasia Sea Dogs win their 6th WHL
Championship with 432 goals tying the
Sudbury Wolves for the most
championships all-time. Riding the
resurgent Ovechkin's 44 goals and the
dynamic defensemen duo of Makar 30 and
Werenski 23 goals the Sea Dogs were able
to hold off the hobbled Reservoir Dogs
to complete their victory.
The media has been attempting to reach the reclusive GM/Coach Fred Dabruzzi at his secret Florida bunker for a comment on his victory but they only succeeded in getting an answering machine that simply stated, "I want my money!" Coming in second place for the seventh time in their career were the Reservoir Dogs who suffered devastating losses down the stretch losing top players Jack Hughes and leading goal scorer Draisaitl dooming them to finish in their favorite spot in the standings. In third place the Sudbury Wolves were the only team with 3 players over 40 goals (Nylander 45, Thompson 44, Point 42) and had another (Scheifele) with 39 goals. In fourth place the Cluster Pucks scored 384 goals ensuring a money position for all three seasons since joining the league. The last money spot was nabbed by Big Three with 380 goals.
